Buddy Guy Last Night
I had the honor of seeing Buddy Guy play last night. Man, he is still the best even deep into his eighties.
What a great performer. He did all the Buddy Guy things you want to see: drumstick, towel, strolling through the crowd. Besides some of his originals he covered everyone for John Lee Hooker to The Talking Heads. His playing and vocals are still all there at 85. Anybody today that plays rock and roll guitar owes a debt of gratitude him, as we all stand on his shoulders. Such a privilege to see him do his thing.

Re: Buddy Guy Last Night
We saw Buddy Guy about 15 years ago. He was great, but his set was very short! Shemekia Copeland opened and was fantastic! Jimmie Vaughan was up next and was great, as usual. But, by the time Buddy Guy came on, it was late and he didn't even get to play for 45 minutes before he had to stop due to local noise ordinances! As much as I love Shemekia Copeland and Jimmie Vaughan, their sets should've been a lot shorter.

Buddy Guy opened for Jeff Beck in 2016. I saw them at Wolf Trap Farm Park.

Re: Buddy Guy Last Night
I've seen Buddy many times (starting back in the early sixties) and I'm glad I did.
Simply...Amazing.
