Signed 1976 Telecaster

Hi, brand new here.
I've just inherited a number of guitars.
One was what appears to be a 1976 Fender Telecaster Natural 7623265
It has two signatures written on it (both dated 2010). I have no idea who these signatures are. Can anyone help?

I think the one near the control panel read "Amos Garrett"
a quick search found: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amos_Garrett

The one on the upper horn is harder - maybe Scott something?

Given the list of musicians Amos Garrett has played with, if that is indeed his signature, could the other be Stevie Wonder? I'm not sure how Little Stevie could have signed it so well, though, but I've never seen his signature. However, both are dated 2010, which is way later than the two playing together, I think.

Not Stevie Wonder's signature. Not sure what to do with this. Get it refurbished or leave as is. The string rests on the headstock are old and oxidised somewhat, and the body has wear.

This is really a decision only you can make. If you value the guitar as a collector's item, and want to continue to investigate its provenance, then leaving as is probably is the wisest decision. On the other hand, if you want to turn it into a working man's guitar, I'd say some cleanup and modernizing might be the ticket. Your move.

Personally, I'd say leave as-is for now. |Maybe replace the string guides, you don't want to be breaking strings all the time, if you can't clean them up.
The rest, aside from getting the dust and gunk off, I'd leave alone, as long as everything works as intended.
maybe if it needs fret work, I'd think about that.

If you are not a guitarist and have no interest in playing the instrument I'd say find a broker who deals in such curios and relics and let him/her help you flip that Telecaster for a profit.

Oh I play lots of instruments so the bigger issue will be what my partner says :-)

How cool! You've squared the circle nicely. Geoff Muldaur and Amos Garrett released an album together in 1978. They must have reunited in 2010, since they both dated their autographs. You now have provenance on your guitar, so in my book that makes it a keeper! Congratulations!

That is so cool that you identified the second signature. According to Wiki, Geoff is still active at age 79.
