Re: The Official TFF "what are you listening to?" thread
I listened to the Moody Blues "Long Distance Voyager" tonight, first time I've listened to it in a couple of decades. I love Justin H's guitar playing, and that voice!
When I bought the album, I bought Elton John's "The Fox" at the same time. I asked the clerk what he'd heard about the albums. "Shit," he replied. I bought them anyway and they've always been among my favorite albums. By the way, a year after that, I began working at the record store and eventually managed it and a bigger store for the company. Ha!

Watching and listening to the DVD on this. Most incredible version of Voodoo Chile ever.

Sgt. Pepper took the world by storm. Perhaps as a result, The Rolling Stones decided to issue their own "psychedelic" album. It was received with mixed reviews. It was a one-time departure from the norm for the Stones.
The original album release (of which I have a copy) had a "holographic" image of the band on the cover (as poorly depicted in the image above). Subsequent releases used a simple photo.

I started another thread on this, but I'm all about Snarky Puppy lately.

Lately I bought the limited edition vinyl of four McCartney live albums, colored Pink Floyd vinyl of the Wall and The Division Bell, and the new Abbey Road vinyl package.
I love this stuff. Wings Over America is a special album to me. I was digging it. Probably my favorite Wings lineup.

I have this movie on VHS (that's old technology for you younger guys) and revisit it on occasion. Today is a slow day at work, and I wanted to see/hear a young Joe Walsh play his Dan Armstrong lucite guitar.

Sibelius' Third Symphony - a favorite that I hadn't heard in quite a while.

Confession time: One of my "signature" pieces I've played for decades is "Triad" as the way David Crosby plays it on this release. Another piece I have in my always-ready playlist is "Cowgirl in the Sand," the way Neil Young plays it here (both are acoustic renditions). Lately, I've been toying with "Long Time Gone," as a bit of a jam piece.
Man, when these guys were on, they were ON.

Just turned my girlfriend on to Tears for Fears, so we've spent a few days listening. We've also been on a Weezer kick.

As happens from time to time, another thread inspired me to pull out an old album...

Love John Mayall. When i first listened to Beano, I didn't like his voice, but the more I listened, the more I actually like it.
