    Jerry Donahue Pickup...

    Anyone use a Seymour Duncan APTL-3JD pickup?

    I bought one off a friend and haven't installed it yet.

    I have one in my MIJ 62 RI and I like it a lot. I put a mini HB in the neck slot and switched to compensated brass saddles. The JD is a Tele without the ice pick, a nice trad sound but not too thin. I believe it has Alnico II magnets and is slightly overwound compared to SD's baseline offerings.
    I have a Nashville 5/2 as well and like that one very much as well.

    I'm getting ready to start a project Tele and I'm going to put the JD in the bridge slot a Fender Texas Special Strat pup in the middle and either a mini-hummbucker or P-90 in the neck. I haven't decided.
