I have a rather beat-up Feb 69 Competition Orange 'stang bass.
(Matching 6 string also).
There are many Comp Red and Comp Blue bases out there. I see the occassional Comp Orange, and even the VERY rare Comp Purple-Burst. (Anyone know the history on these?)
I still take it on a gig once in a while and have fun with it. It was my first bass, then I moved to a 32" Robin Ranger, and recently a 34" Reverend Rumblefish......which makes the 30" Mustang feel like a "toy" (but the SOUND is far from being a toy!!).
Anyone have/use/lust after these?????????????????????
