She fits and RC said he got tickled when he saw me pull the third string sharp with my ring finger without thinking about it in the store (I'm still working on hand strength) so I doubt I'll want anything else. I've been running scales on my Bronco and excercises so I guess I really do have the bug.
The deal was too sweet and the money came in and I'm silly but damn, she's beautiful with an awesome sound and feel.
I pick her up tonight.
They're REAL anyway.....
Oh, in case anyone wants the specs.....

They're REAL anyway.....
Ooooh, nice.
Yeah, the S1 switch plus the price plus well there's no description for the call is there?
I could walk away but I kept coming back. RC says I could easily sell her again for what I paid for her (like I'd want to).
They're REAL anyway.....
I like the feel if a jazz bass. I had a 75 jazz bass. Should never have sold it...

Cool:yay
If you leave the house, you're just asking for it.
I'm still keeping my little Bronco. Never can tell when somebody might need a pony, including me. :lol
They're REAL anyway.....
It's always nice when a woman's bass desires are satisfied. ;)

Congrats!!!!
Super sweet! Maybe you'll join RC and I in the Man Cave next time I ride through town!
If you're bored, you're not groovin'.
Now we need an amp...
... and a gig bag with shoes to match.
It is a super sweet bass.
Nothing beats an RC and a MoonPie!
No gig bag. Hard shell case, dear. ;)
They're REAL anyway.....
Maybe just a small amp. She needs 150-watts just to survive out there...

Excellent!
Yep, the S1 switch IS cool. The sunset orange is a nice color too. :)
Nice axe! Very cool purchase. I love Jazz basses too.
Great color
the color is ...dare I say...the sland! tis a beauty!
:yay
Several guitars in different colors
Things to make them fuzzy
Things to make them louder
orange picks
Yeah, I'm thinking "matching pumps, eye shadow, and a naughty lip curl" with that sunset orange.

Hmmm... Shoe got her new bass last night.
Today she's home with streph throat.
Hmmmm....
Nothing beats an RC and a MoonPie!
OH... OK.... So that one works? Should be good for the rest of the week.. You got her the new amp also, right?Originally Posted by RCinMempho

No amp yet. She laid in bed last night coughing and hacking while looking at the available tolexes and leathers for a Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout.

Feel the love.
They're REAL anyway.....
Word to the wise...... when getting a finger stuck for a white count at the doctor's office.... DO NOT let them stick your left middle finger.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Right through that newly acquired callous I've been working on.
They're REAL anyway.....
I always tell them to draw blood, inject me, whatever in the right arm. "But you're right handed" they say. "Yeah, I know, but I'm a guitar player. Just use the right arm, thank you very much".
"Live and learn and flip the burns"
I'm a
RC, of course, went AFTER me in the lab and requested his right hand be stuck. We blinked at each other and did a "oooohhhh, that's why" I jumped so hard when she stuck me. Duh.
They're REAL anyway.....
Those are the babies most guys can live with ;)
Congrats on a beautiful Jazz Bass! That was the other bass I was thinking of buying when I was shopping for a bass. They play and sound so nice!
Awww, right color, wrong bass! :bwa
But serious congrats, she's a beauty... I woulda recommended my jazz, but you said no mods, heh. Hope it gives a lifetime of vibes!
"Wait, it's a trap. Get an axe."
Go Shoe! And may many delights unfold for you.
Shine your light.
Yeah, maybe I can actually play it this weekend without keeling over?
I have a tuner, case, and a couple fun straps coming. It never ends, does it?
At the very least, I think I have lipstick to match.Originally Posted by doc540

Shoe, this weekend.....strap that wood on and have a good time !
(Jus returning your nice wood comment to me!)
Watch Out RC !
;^{I)>
:) Congrats on the NEW Very Koolicious bass!
Frank asked about straps in another thread. I've ordered two from music123.com just to have something to practice with. They haven't come in yet, but I figured since I needed a decent case and was ordering anyway, why not. If and when I really gig, I'll probably go with a comfort strap but just for fun and I'm sure the guys will have a good time razzing the lady about these so go ahead, do your worse....
This is Starry Night by Ralph Merlin.
This is New York by Night by Jerry Garcia. No Dead Head jokes please. :lol
They're REAL anyway.....
The Jerry Garcia is a "Dead" match. The Merlin is actually wider and a bit more comfortable but would take the right outfit and some thought.
While being utterly miserable and up all night coughing with this infection, I made a baddddd mistake. Oh geez.
Why did I have to look at this????
You guys are going to take up a collection for my birthday in April, right?
They're REAL anyway.....
Wow killer amp, can't go wrong with that one.
Made me wonder if I'm wasting time and money constructing the big rig. Sheesh. Anyone actually heard one?
"Wait, it's a trap. Get an axe."
Yes, unfortunately, I have, right here in Memphis at Martin Music, right after Spose told us about them in the Small Combo Rig thread.
This is JUST what I've studied, compared, and been looking for, and at a good price..... and I don't get paid until the 28th. damn

I just last week got the very same bass
You gotta love that maple neck with rolled edges...I know I do. I played on a standard Fender model at Guitar Center the other day and after playing this one the edges felt like they were biting into my hand. Amazing how something can make a complete baby out of one. Been playing on those fretboards off and on since 1964 with never a thought about it. Reminds me of my first car (1966 Dodge Dart) with 3 speed on the column, no airconditioning (in Texas heat) and just an AM radio with one speaker. Couldn't go that now.
