Dark Side of the Moon just ended.
I have another 45 minute 'til the shuttle arrives. What should I do?

Just got The Bands 2nd album (self titled) and Cream's Disraeli Gears. The place i bought them from had horrible selection, but i got these two albums i've been meaning to get for a while. So, as it stands, right now i'm listening to Cream "Outside Woman Blues"
Actually, come to think of it i had a copy of Disraeli Gears not too long ago. I bought it on vinyl, but when i got home it turns out it was warped beyond playablility so i took it back. whatever
Peter Green's Robert Johnson and then I am putting on EC's Robert Johnson - going to put those blues in me through aural canal osmosis!
Muddy Waters' You're Gonna Need My Help Some Day. Deep and dark, easing me through my thankfully mild hangover along with a cup of strong black coffee.
DaVinci's Notebook - Another Irish Drinking Song

Clapton's Travellin' Light. Great tones throughout.

Right now I've been listening to alot of the Allman Bros.
The Brothers Johnson "Get Da Funk Out Ma Face"...Louis Johnson is badass...
Albert Collins doing The Things I Used To Do. Who says he has bad tone? Just like the Stevie Ray version in lick terms, but slower and more dynamic to my ears.
Just finished some "Carlos Guitarlos", this one's growin' on me. Next up is "Black Keys". Then maybe some Los Strait Jackets before bedtime.

Although I've had far more success playing guitar 'conventionally' my first love remains the weirdo, avant garde, experimental stuff that I don't really get to share with many. You know, FWIW...

School Days - Stanley Clarke
Hudpucker,
My friend Scott played in a weird dada-esque band back in the 70's called Zobus with a guy named Zoogz Rift (yeah - that was his name - all legal and everything). He plays some pretty weird stuff, but can do the conventional stuff well. He plays slide and dobro really well.
Edited to add:
I didn't realize how long he's worked with Kaiser. He played on:

A live version of 'Groanin the Blues' by Clapton. From a gig I was actually at (and no, I didn't bootleg it), and on the recording I think you can hear me shouting 'Go on Eric' mid solo.
Rotating between : Larry Sparks "41"; Los Lonely Boys ; Jeff Buckley "Grace"
"The Best of Taj Majal" on the train this morning. :yay :yay
"She Caught the Katy & Left Me A Mule To Ride"
I just love that tune. What a nasty groove!!!

nEo Taj is great - love his version of Dust My Broom with Ry Cooder!
I am about to dash 40 miles to a meeting (where I hope to stay awake for two hours) But on the way I will be listening to Peter Green's Blues CD (a composite of his favorites over the years with Fleetwood Mac - the real name of the CD escapes my mind...shoo if you had as many facial operations as me you would forget to :) :lol Will the REAL Michael Jackson please stand up....or something!
Derek and the Dominoes' 'Thorn Tree in the Garden' rapidly segueing into Led Zepplin' Tangerine. Don't you just love total random play from your music library?
