    10/56 Neck thickness

I have not taken my calipers to it yet to get a very accurate measurement but measuring with the strings on it appears that the 10/56 neck on my recent '56 Relic is .875" at the first fret.

I measured due to the neck feeling a little thinner to me than I remembered other '56 Relic necks that I have played in the past being.
Though it's a soft V for sure it seems to have less in the shoulders than I recall others having too. Have they changed them over the last couple of years?

I ask as when I first was going to buy one the necks were a lot more consistant & rounded This was about two years ago & I played quite a few back then.

Anyone got measurements on theirs at the first fret?

Have they made the shoulders smaller over the last couple of years?

Yeah, I seem to recall them being almost on a straight plane from off of the back of the headstock to the center of the back of the neck much like the 50's Classic necks are now.

A 1" neck as I think they used to be or close is a full 1/8" larger than mine at .875".
Might have to exchange this one as I still have until next Moday to do so.
I like it & it plays very well but a large part of the reason for buying was the 10/ 56 neck.

Come to think of it the neck is really not all that differnt than the '57 RI I just sold to pay for this thing with the exception of the fret work being better in the higher registers.

If they changed the specs it is no longer the 10/56 neck thatI first fell for when they came out.
