    my hot rod deville's weight

    Hello!

    I measured my Hot rod Deville 2-12's weight. It is 27,8 kg (61,3 lbs).
    I've read on www.fender.com that this amplifier's weight is 53.5 lbs. (24.26 kg) . What can cause this difference? I live in Europe (220volt). As far as I can see all the parts are original.
    My amplifier was made in about 2004 in Mexico.

    Has anyboby ever measured Hot rod deville 2-12?
    Please somebody measure their own Hot Rod!

    Well, I bet you have a different power transformer being in Europe. Might have different speakers, too.

    Both could easily make up the weight difference.
    "...pray do not imagine that those who make the noise are the only inhabitants of the field;
    that, of course, they are many in number; or that, after all, they are other than the little,
    shriveled, meagre, hopping, though loud and troublesome, insects of the hour."

    I traded one of my Blackstar?s for a DeVille. When I hefted the Fender, I was surprised at how heavy it felt. THEN I made it heavier by replacing the Jensens with a couple Eminence Texas Heats. But such a great sound and pedal platform! Thank the musical gods that they sell road cases for these!
