1974 Jazz Bass

Can anyone help me succesfully identify a genuine 1974 Fender Jazz Bass.

I'm trying to buy one (serial number and pictures on the way) but I'd really appreciate any tips anyone can give me?

Also, anyone know what a realistic price should be (depending on specific model / colour and condition)?

If anyone knows of any sites that would benefit me, please let me know the details.

They pretty poor quality but I've got more on the way and it confirms the serial number.

Can anyone offer any comments - I'm told its unblemmished but there are a couple of obvious ommissions (cover plate and rest)??

Any advice as to legitimacy and price greatly received...

If the pups and wiring are original, my guess is it's worth about $3K-$4K.

Jeez......whoever took them pics, it looks like their hands were shakin' worse than a chihuahua sh*ttin' a peach pit!

The instrument does in fact seem to be a '74 Jazz Bass: four-bolt neck, no bullet truss at the headstock, period correct chocolate tuxedo neck. I'd ballpark it at between 3k and 4k assumin' it was unmolested under the hood and no serious structural damage.
