I've worked on this for over a year and have a pretty good listing of Jazz Basses that sold on ebay and what they went for. Hopefully this is helpful to readers. Let me know what you think.

If I shoot at mimes, should I use a silencer?
And your post makes you a quack! I don't charge a cent for the list I put together. The information I am providing is extremely valuable and very interesting. I haven't read what you have babbled. I saw a response and expected to read that the list is a great addition to this Fender Forum. Please don't use the list if it is such spam.

I see no spam...Maybe Moonrider was refering to your nick, I dunno? Your list looks like a useful tool for a person looking to buy a piece of used gear.
Thanks Melody, I wish I had this list when I bought any of my 6 Jazz basses. I wouldn't have overspent - well, I probably would have anyway since I buy with my heart and not my brain. Anyway I am going to update the list every 1 - 2 weeks. I started a Fender Guitar sales list as well and will update that every several days. I need to tweak both a little to keep like-kind instruments together. I do most of this during my lunch breaks. Again, thanks! Moonrider, didn't mean to chop your head off.
Right. If it was spam it would have been deleted fairly quickly. Not sure what the heck Moonrider was referring to actually. Looked like a pretty cool list with a lot of work that went into it.
Thanks, I should probably give Moonrider the benefit of the doubt. He/She probably assumed I was charging for the list. And yes, I can see that my User ID is probably borderline.
Righto. Welcome to the forum FB..
Well I never did find the exact Jazz Bass I needed so I built one -- all parts bought offa evil bay. Do purchases such as that factor into your data?
Thanks everyone, happy to be here. I think I'll look around and see what else I can jump into on this Forum.
PhantomMan, absolutely you will see basses like yours on the list. As you probably know, if you started with a bass from the '70s and altered it, there is a good possibility you detracted from the value however the good thing is you made it just the way you like soundwise (which is most important for players not collectors). Having said that, if a '71 bass is on my list and sold for $900, good chance it was modified or in very bad condition. Have to run but I will try to add other important info about the list later today.
Sweet looking bass. What pickups are in there?
Fender Custom Shop '62s. This bass was built for my brother and that's what he wanted.
To be brutally honest, I wouldn't have even contemplated building an instrument until I started hangin' out here at the TFF and learnin' the ropes from the pros who regularly haunt this website (an' you guys know who you are). Ain't a week goes by that I don't pick up some useful tidbit of info that I file away for later use.
Thanks, all!
I love the scratched, banged up old vintage basses but I can't stop looking at the picture you posted above. Nice job!
Nice work, and don't think I'm hating but if I put that much effort into a '66 clone I would've done the burst differently.

Wow, that is one awesome looking bass, very nice build. I especially like the chrome guards. Very dominant and indestructable looking.

I converted the Fender Guitar Sales list to a pdf because there are over 3,000 sales listed. It took forever for the page to load. I will probably do the same for the Jazz Bass sales list since it is getting a little long.
