I've been playing bass with a couple of 20 year old guys just messing around; I'm old enough to be their Dad yeah how weird is that! So anyway they asked me last night if I wanted to play a few gigs with them with a side project they are working on. I said what you guys need somebody to buy the beer! They said no we really want you to play out with us. I said sure. Hey what do you know 42 and I’m in and Alternative rock band...lol.
It'll prolly be alright......jus' make sure you buy 'em light beer! You don' wanna stunt their growth or anythang.
Now I have work on getting a BowFlex !
one of the bands i play in i'm the youngest (26), the drummer is 40 and the guitar player is 54. not weird at all, it all depends on who you click with.

Its a 73 Ripper my 1st real Bass I've had it since 81 someone put a bunch of junk electronics in it in the 70s Had it all pulled out and restored. Good eye dude!
Very cool.. Ripper. This sounds like my history. My first real bass (my Hondo doesn't count) was my Gibson Grabber. I probably got that around '80 or '81. I am not sure what the year is. Probably could tell from the serial number. The thing weighs a ton. I love the movable pickups but never moved them around.
Yeah my 1st bass was a import copy of a P bass looking back it wasn't a bad Guitar just one pickup and not very loud. I Ended up giving it to my drummer to mess around with. I have no idea where its at now. As you can see from my Avatar I'm making up for now!
