    Anyone Familiar With This Twin?

There is a guy interested in maybe trading this Fender Twin for my Marshall Mosfet halfstack---is this a good amp?

I like the Marshall, and I have alot of Fenders--but this might be more bluesy for me.

That channel switcher I think came between the red knob twin and "evil twin."

    I suspect it wasn't very popular/successful.

That amp is the "Evil Twin", Kap'n.

They're pretty versatile amps an' I've played 'em a few times (never owned one though). It's sorta like a cross between the Custom Shop "Dual Professional" and a "Tone Master", wrapped up in BF 65 combo cosmetics. Dual selectable power levels (100W & 25W) plus triple output impedance configurations (4Ω, 8Ω, an' 16Ω) give the amp a lot more flexibility. It's got some tone-scooping switches and the foot-switchable clean/drive/more drive arrangement similar to the Hot Rod Deluxe/DeVille series, plus the usual reverb (no tremolo). Fender's been building these for quite some time an' I doubt that would occur were the amp not profitable (ie: "popular").

Izzit worth the trade for your MosFet Marshall? Only you can make that determination. But The Twin is a solid piece of gear.

Doh. I don't really keep track of channel switching amps.

I remember playing through some amps of that era (like the "Concert") that sounded great.I was just wondering about this one.
I have alot of Fender amps, and this is my only Marshall (outside of a 1-12" extension cab).I sure likes me a Twin Reverb, never had one.I know this ain't exactly the same, but close.

'70s Twin Reverbs are dirt cheap down here. Couple around for five bills...

I own one of these and I'm real happy with it! I gig with it 99% of the time. The other 1% is my Deluxe Reverb RI.

The clean channel is nice and the gain channel is pretty good too!

    What happened?

Are you doing a rewire to true BF or did it die?

Mine doesn't have an xlr output? Sure we're talking about the same amp?

I've had mine for a year and a half. I gig with it almost every weekend and its never let me down!
