Those are sweet, riggergreg.
I have an Oly White 60's Classic.
I added compensated salads, then flattened the underside of the bridgeplate and added two screws in front of the pickup, a la Vinti-kew.
I really wish I could mirculously flatten the fretboard some.
I have a Gibson mini-HB for the neck pos, but I'm holding off in case I find something I like with a modern radius.

I have 1 1/2...
Black/rosewood '01 AmSe
Sunburst/maple '03 G&L ASAT Classic
The Classic is the bawls. It's probably the tele I should have bought in the first place, but hey, the Fender's a nice instrument too. The ASAT rules most righteously tho'.
Since I can't really afford to take the hit on selling it the Fender, I'll probably swap out the pups & pickguard to fool myself into thinking I bought a new guitar!

I've got one on the Way. A Muddy Waters Tele.Should be here this week. I am pumped and a bit nervous at the same time !
I ordered it sight unseen, because no one had stock nearby. I gather from the glowing reports, I should'nt be dissapointed. Also I kinda hope I will not feel the need to change pick ups. If I do ,I am quite sure I will try the Fralin Blues specials.

We want a full report when you get it. I think you will love the stock pickups, I don't really know anyone that has changed out theirs. Good luck!!:tw59Originally posted by Tonedrip

It's my main weapon of choice, and I'm always looking for different pickup configs and tones....
Just one for the moment, hopeing to add a partscaster to the collection in the not too distant future.
I have a 1987 Japanese Fender Tele, not sure of the model, but the bridge pickup has a brass base plate and it has a lovely thin (unusual) maple neck and has a natural finish. Could be an early 52ri but I'm not sure.
It's been modified quite alot now, so it's a bit of a mongrel.
Before you get upset, I was young and didn't know any better when I modified it, but on the other hand, I don't regret it.
I hate Tele neck pickups so I replaced it with a strat pickup and the forearm contour makes it much easier to play.
One !

Electron? nope! But, he has the pix of my Tele's posted on his website, which answers your URL? question.
STORY--I bought my 1968 Tele new with a dealer-installed Fender/Bigsby unit, but never did like the "floating" bridge assembly (which, ironically seems to work OK on Jazzmasters and Jaguars!).
So, I first tried using a Mustang barrel bridge, which was somewhat better, but it too was NOT Tele-like in either clarity or intonation.
So, next I yanked the Bigsby and added a Jazzmaster assemby, and soon after, I replaced all the "floating" bridge parts with a heavy-duty "Bad Ass" bridge assembly from WD and (finally) everything "worked" -- end of story.
The only "gotcha" to report is that the "tension" springs over the adjusting screws on the individual bridge pieces had to be majorly upgraded! Otherwise, they'd let the bridge pieces move backward upon UP movement of the temolo, causing problems. Using industrial strength (ie: VERY stiff) springs solves the problem.

Wow, nice moddin' to make that work! If you can, please stop by www.telemodders.com and share your Tele and story with us modaholics.
Hopeless modaholic...
butnut -- I've visited and left a message (or two), but nobody answered...or, maybe I just did't put enough "postage" on my e-mail?
PS-- I have the original CBS/Fender Installation Instruction papers, so, if anyone wants to "see" what's involved in putting a Bigsby on a Tele, contact me.
Aw, bummer. I know if you post a pic of that Tele, you'll be famous! hehe :nelson
A lot of Bigsbys there now, I'm sure some will be very interested in your trem mod...drop by again when you can.
I have one, a '96 Sonic Blue American Standard.
At this very moment I "possess" zero Tele's.
But that's because on Wednesday I traded my MIM 60's Tele in on a Japanese 50's in sort of a see-thru Blonde. Not relic'ed, but minor playing scuffage. Sa-weet. It has a fattish neck that plays reeeeaal nice. I'm keeping it setup just like it is, so it will be my only guitar w/ .009's.
Bending heaven, baby.
Same day, same shop; I also traded my traded my 64 BF Princeton in on a 70's SF Princeton Reverb.
I didn't get "quite" the price I would ask selling my stuff privately, but I did WAY BETTER on them than I ever thought I would as trade-ins. Plus I got to try both new acquisitions thoroughly, in tandem. What a nice combo! They ought to be hard-wired together.
But I played a bunch of other guitars through the PR too. Tele, Strat, Jazzmaster, Gretsch 6120, ES 335. It's just not fussy.
I pay off my cash balance and lug my new pair home on Thursday.
At which time I will once again own AND possess 1 Tele.
Just though I'd fill y'all in.
