Well, it seems to be coming together. here are some directions to the club. I will email them to all that I have emails for.
From Sacramento, take interstate 80 east. When in Auburn, take the Elm Ave. exit. Turn left. AT the bottom of the hill, at the light, turn right on High street. Turn left at Cleveland ave (the first light). Short street, at end turn right onto Lincoln way. This is downtown Auburn. The Club Car is a few shops down on the right. Park and enjoy.
If you need to ask where it is, remember that it was the Smoke Shop and people may still know it by that name.

I'm going to do everything possible to attend, but am unable to promise at this point.
In case you haven't hear, the Shredlet (Big Apples on the FDP) gets to play on stage with Dave Meniketti at the Little Fox in Redwood City, Dec 12 or 13, not sure which. Both nights are sold out. Shredlet is a happy guy. Hopefully he'll come to this jam and we can give him some warm-up time.
I sent him directions via email, I hope he can make it.

My daughter's soccer team has applied for entry in a two-weekend soccer tournament -- we have received no reply yet, but if we're in it, I will most likely not be able to attend the jam. I will contact all the rest of the VibroCounts to see if any will be attending -- Paul on drums, Jerry on guitar and/or Jim on guitar (and bass if anyone has one he can use).

I think a lot of the material will probably wind up being I-IV-V's, just because they're so easy to follow and rotate solos. Unless all the players know specific tunes by specific artists, a jam can quickly become a trainwreck. On the other hand, we're not gettin' paid to play so maybe the occasional trainwreck isn't as bad as if we were actually a BAND.
There will also probably be players attending who don't want to play blues, so their song choices may work well for them.
I'm flexible regarding the material we play; it's the getting together that's as much fun as the playing itself. I'm looking forward as much to quaffing some suds and listening as I am to jamming.

Blues about You Baby - Delbert (straight 1-4-5 in whatever key necessary. I'll sing it unless you want to)
Milk Cow Blues - (1-4-5 with a 5-1 turnaround and a band intro that hangs on the 1)
Don't Bite The Hand That Feeds ya - Kim wilson, another straight 1-4-5, I do it in E.
Before You Accuse Me - Any version, but I like Delbert's, which starts the verses on the 4 and is a shuffle. essentially a 1-4-5
She's Got To Have It - Kentucky Headhunters, 1-4-5 that hangs an extra measure on the 4 in the turnaround. Pretty easy.

I do it in G but if a higher-voiced singer wants to do it, it's easy. Two chords, the 1 and the 5.
