    Differences between TX Special Bridge PU from New Am. Special Tele & CS TX Specials

    Just a few points I found that made me curious.... guess these are NOT the same as the coveted CS Texas Specials

    The pickups in the new American Special Tele's are advertised as "Texas Specials", but compared to the Custom Shop Texas Specials, the bridge ohms out at 15.6k vs the CS advertised 10.5k. Also no cloth covered leads, no staggered magnets, and black ribbon tape instead of string....

    Anyone else noticed?

    Haven't played an AS Tele, but I do know the CS TX Specials are among my favorites.
