Very partial new guitar day!!
So the wood for my scratch build arrived yesterday (haven't taken the plastic wrap off yet):
They told me they cut the body blank bigger than I asked for but I didn't know just how much bigger. Look what fits:
It's tight I can get 2 bodies out of this blank with enough wiggle room for rough cutting!! So my one project has just turned into two! I'd hate to waste all that wood.
Now what to do with it? My two initial thoughts were to make an SG Standard out of the other or to order another piece of 1/2" thick white limba and make a Goldtop Les Paul. I wonder if the standard maple cap would make it brighter than I'd like...hence going a pseudo Les Paul Custom route. Decisions, decisions...
