    3PDT footswitch

The 3PDT switch on my 13 year old Fulltone '69 Pedal died!

Fulltone has offered to replace the switch but I'm fully capable and don't want to ship my most cherished pedal cross country and back, wait, pay for shipping and pay for labor for such a simple repair.

Can anyone recommend a source for the "best" 3PDT footswitch? I know that Fulltone used to list them on thier site and other folks used to sell them. In this case, due to it being my favorite pedal, I wouldn't mind paying extra for a switch that said "Fulltone" on it.

In any case, my goal is to install a good switch.

    Thanks!

I think there's only one or two manufacturers of the 3PDT footswitch, and they're essentially all the same.

IIRC, Stew-Mac sells the Fulltone-branded footswitch. Small Bear also sells one for a reasonable price.

Thanks for the info! Stewmac does not appear to sell the Fulltone branded switch anymore.

I can't wait to get this pedal back on my board!

Just get one from small bear or any other place. I've used the expensive ones, and the cheapos. Have yet to have a failure from either.

    Re: 3PDT footswitch

This is the first failure that I've had and the pedal is 13 years old! I've had dozens of these switches, expensive and cheap, in that time.

There's a shop nearby that builds pedals. Maybe they'll have one in stock. The problem is, they treat you like you're clueless and get defensive when you talk to them about parts.

I understand the feeling, I'm thinking of winding my own pickups for that very reason.

Maybe if you contact Fulltone, they would send you a replacement.

Note that, similar products are made to borrow the type of regular full tone. (I should name withheld). I overlooked a serious flaw he I have copied it in overseas plants. Due to the use of plastic body and shaft, and its products miss behavior occurs quite often. It will be said in that praise is sacrilegious event, focused on the importance of true bypass. (Laughs)

Switch (pin 9) 3PDT is the only switch that allows true bypass with LED. It can also be used for other than the Fulltone pedal, of course, to improve the sound of the pedal bypass pedals more vintage and new replacement remodeling. Bypass can not be obtained from a pure sound for most because the pedal is being processed buffer. Please try to use this switch (non-wah) pedal your travel.

The wah pedal, we recommend the Carling 316PP. This shaft has become longer for the wah.

If there is the appearance of the product, and to change specifications without notice. Please be forewarned

    Re: 3PDT footswitch

Fulltone is sending me a switch. With shipping, it only cost a little more than a cheap switch (which might be the same switch). With the overinflated value of the old '69 Pedals I figured I'd be able to say it's all Fulltone (not that I'd ever sell it).

I'm actually more concerned with doing a really nice job when I replace the switch. I love how the wiring in this pedal looks. I'd like to keep it that way!

    I think it'll arrive today.

Theres lots of room in there!
I've been modding a few with the Allums double stack op amps, and its often pretty tight.

I've built and modded dozens of pedals. It's not that it's difficult or tight- it's not, it's that I want it to look like it does now- all clean and neat. I'm the type of who will open up an amp or pedal just to admire the way it's built. I had a '70 Pedal of the same vintage that someone hacked a replacement switch into.
