Actually typing without benefit of coffee, it's downstairs. I came back up to take my eyedrops and the computer pulled me in like the mob pulled in Michael Corleone.

went to a good show last night. bunch of local legends doing a benefit for the Nashua Community Music School. Turns out that my brother and SIL were also going to the show. I was out until just after midnight *gasp* I can't remember the last time I've done that. Then again, I have trouble remembering to wear pants so I have that going for me, which is nice.

Sunny cool day, last nice one before a torrential rain comes in and blankets us for the next 36-something hours. I finally got all my outdoor christmas lights down this week, the last bit of snow in my yard beside the driveway melted on Friday. Winter is over, woo hoo.

Lots of fun stuff to do today. Yesterday I replace the wooden columns on the front porch with fiberglass ones. I thought Id get a bunch of stuff done after that, but that was enough for one day. Today it's rake out the new lawn and overseed, and replace the mailbox post that the snow plow took down last winter. Then sleep...

WISH I could get outside projects done......flood advisory (again) spitting rain and thunder here......9th day in a row......YEP thats why Mobile AL. is the rainest spot in the country ----yes yes Seattle gets more rainy days......but we deal in VOLUME and measure rain in FEET not inches. Check the interwebs ---we "win" if you can call it that. lol
Anyway the rain gave me time to ignore yard work and outside renovations and complete this lovely............

Sent to me a couple months back by a friend who started the build 2.5 YEARS ago and lost steam......she is whole now.......

STILL trying to save the fret board.......he had left blue painters tape on it to "protect it".....sadly it SUCKED every bit of moisture out of it
But so far so good......needs some tweaking and fine tuning but is certainly a runner for sure

OH---and before anyone asks NO I will NOT be putting a Gibson decal on it.........something custom I think ........

Finally repaired the steering on my wife's car! The steering had become stiff. I installed a Dorman lower steering shaft and the problem became a little better. Today I installed a Nissan lower steering shaft and the problem is corrected. The steering is smooth as new!

Now I can mess with my new toy- a 1963 Ampeg Jet that I bought yesterday. The amp appears to be all original except for the rectifier. The Ampeg branded tubes, caps, Jensen C12R and transformers all have 1963 date codes on them. This means that it's many years overdue for maintenance. It sounds really good except that the tremolo doesn't work. I'll post pics in a separate thread as soon as I find a new place to host them.

I'm really impressed with the development of your guitar. As far as my Sunday goes...it is fantastic! I had breakfast with my wife and several friends at a local watering hole.

Nice morning in church - a celebration of marriage in which about 20 couples renewed vows. I found it all quite moving. Played in the band this morning but we were not as profound as the ceremony.

After church, sat outside and played guitar bit. Not really warm yet, but warm enough to brave the cool wind in a jacket while staying in the sun and playing my acoustic.

Spent the afternoon working on some new equipment in my darkroom (yep, some people still have 'em).

After reading this thread, I think I want an Explorer.

Thanks! I was just about to place an order there. Their 20/20/20@450v/20@25v multi cap can looks good. A friend has a B-15 and a B-18 and told me about this site.

You guys might recall me rebuilding the circuit in a '62 Jet a couple of years ago. This is a much cleaner, more original amp.
