It helps me to play along with songs in order to learn them, and I do that.
But is there anything on youtube that's really phenomenal? I'm wanting to up my game a bit.

If we'd known we were going to be the Beatles, we'd have tried harder.--George Harrison
Oh tons. What style are you interested in?
I'm interested in the playing in the styles of Nathan East and Chris Squire. I guess I can just do a youtube search for a "how to play _______ and find some stuff that way.

YouTube is pretty good at suggesting pieces based on your listening habits. Here's a jam track for bass (a groove backing track in G Dorian). If it isn't something that floats your boat, it will offer some others.
Nathan East is an awesome bass player!
Thanks. I’m not looking for backing tracks. I need to get on YouTube and find some in struction for example Yes Heart of the Sunrise

When I’ve had a crunch time experience to learn a specific bass line to fill in for a group, I’ll do a YouTube search for the bass line of a specific song and will often find several variations of someone’s interpretation. I know, it’s cheating, but when you’re under the gun to get it fast it’s quicker than listening and trying to pull a specific feel/line off of a recording.
