Has anyone here actually owned/tried a telecaster with a PAF like humbucker in the bridge position?
I’ve been listening to a lot of guys who use that combination, like Terry Reid for instance.
What were your impressions?

not yet. been wanting to try a Micawber for a long time, get my Keef on.

Difference being, Micawber has a 'bucker in the neck - the OP is looking for one in the bridge.
There's a few metal guys who have bridge buckers - Jim Root from Slipknot, I presume John 5, a couple others I can't remember names.

Actually that was my mistake. I was thinking neck but wrote bridge.
I have played a couple - older and newer.
Recently played a new one with a neck HB with a coil tap - new - felt nice - sounded good. VERY New.....not sure how it would be once I got it home through my amp and messed with setup/strings. LIked it thought - nice seafoam green - in a satin finish
PLayed some kind of AmDlx or similar about 10 years ago - neck pup was anemic (HB)
Played a few modded ones through the years, but I'm a hack at best. Was able to coax soem cool sounds though.
Played Dave Brombergs a few times, it has some different things going on under the skirt. Cool guitar with a LOT of history

Ah, I gotcha. I've played a few Teles and Tele-styles with it - Fender had a model about 20 years ago called the Fat Tele that was stock with a neck humbucker, then there was a 52-reish that had it. I forget the name of that model, this was maybe 10 years ago?
I did a 4-way switch mod to my MIM Tele - the 4th wires the 2 pickups as if they were a bucker - it sounds great, gives a volume and *oomph* boost to the guitar. I wish I did it years ago. I'd swapped the pickups from stock to the Custom Shop Texas Special set when I got it, this finished the picture.
I also have in mind to build a Micawber-inspired one, probably from Warmoth parts.

One of mine has a neck humbucker and makes for some interesting tones. But for me the Tele bridge pickup is what makes it a Tele. Not to say that it would be a bad thing. It just wouldn't be a Tely anymore.
I have a Fender CS Thinline with Bigsby that has a Duncan Antiquity PAF in the neck and a Fender Nocaster in the bridge. It has gotten 95% of my electric guitar gigs since I got it.
When I saw it, I wasn’t that interested as it was “reliced”.
Once I felt the neck, (heavenly), I played it unplugged. Played great. I plugged it in and then it was just coming up with a justification for the wife LOL.
The only thing I adjusted was dropping the neck HB pup so it’s sonic output was equal to the bridge. With that, the middle position became a new spot to live in.

The only thing I can say negative about this guitar is, I'm not in love with the guard. Until I can figure out a better guard, it will stay where its at.
MOP - too blinging for this one. Same for black MOP.
Mint - no go. White, too stark. Black maybe?
Thinking a clear guard back painted silver or just a different tort guard.

A humbucker (PAF preferred) is THE mod to make on a Tele. I played one for a long time until I paired it out. One day I'll do another one
