What's your experience with them?
I thought they looked like toys the first time I saw them. Then I heard a pro playing one, and he made it sing. Originating as student models, they are still in the ring. It's not a guitar for me--the body is too small
I think they look pretty dangerous on stage and make a fairly decent noise for lots of different genres in pop, rock, and R&B. While I couldn't imagine it being Jimmy Page's main guitar, Keith Richards slings one pretty well.

I'm definitely a fan of the Juniors. I prefer the single cuts; not sure why.
IMO, on scale of Gibsons, the Les Pauls roar (traditional 2 humbucker variety...) the SGs scream, and the Juniors snarl.
They've got their own thing going on, similar to an Esquire as compared to a Tele.

I've been wanting to get one, should have done that before I got into all those Historics. But then I'd probably would have sold it after losing my job (career, really) like I sold nearly everything else I loved.
But even the custom shop LP Jr are 4 grand and up. The USA LP Jr is 1600 but at least you get a hardshell case (I was looking at CME's website, so I can't say for GC)
For what is basically a student model, they sure aren't charging student prices. I'd get an Epiphone but for those laurel fingerboards. So few are of a decent darkness. I certainly wouldn't order one sight unseen.

Nothing growls like a P90 and the Junior's all-mahogany body gives the guitar some solid mid-range punch.

I had forgotten that they made a lefty DC run a couple of years ago. It's tempting, so I'll make sure I play the guitars I already have and resist the temptation.

Not exactly a Junior, but a real basic LP. This is the only guitar I bought used and has a great story (involving TeleBob/Telenator). Got it for $500 and it has a ton of mojo.

not a Junior or a Gibson, but my lone P-90 representative. I've yet to really hear it through an amp, the noise in this house is so severe. Surprisingly light, big fat neck and loud as a cannon acoustically.
I've given thought to having the rest of the neck fret markers put in, but certainly not by me.

If it's P-90s you like, and if it's P-90s you want, you can't do any better than this G&L ASAT Junior II. As G&L put it in their marketing slug, "P-90s Done Right."
My tendency is to avoid Fender-type guitars with humbuckers (just an idiosyncrasy of mine) but not only is this a fabulous sounding guitar, but it plays extremely nicely, and I particularly like the knob and switch placement, as they are positioned exactly where I like them!

Epiphone / Gibson--I have changed my mind on things. I love having my Gibson Les Paul, but now, I'd do an Epiphone, swap the pups, and make it sing. I'm sure you're proud of it if it sings and plays well.

I've come a long way, I like Squier and Epiphone just fine now. I'm more likely to take those out of the house than my Gibson Custom Shop stuff, I don't have any Fender stuff besides my amps.

Last summer I picked up an Epiphone Inspired By Junior and it's a killer guitar, even with stock electronics. Got it through Sweetwater, so they did a basic setup on it before they shipped it to me. Just needed a couple minor tweaks to be paying right, and I needed to shim the pickup.
But it plays great - huge neck on it, which I like, pretty light, comfortable to hold, and it sounds killer. |Epi has been doing some great things lately, they're no longer the cheap builder they were. Now, even though it's Gibson's budget / import line, they're an excellent instrument in their own right.

I bought a Casino (Crafted in China) over a year ago. I hadn't played it in a while and thought of selling. Of course, I had a go on it and was surprised again by how good it played and sounded. I've always changed the pups in an Epiphone, but like you, I've left the stocks in. If I were playing live again, I'd probably grab for it first, though I have "better" guitars.

Late last year I bought one of the "inspired by Gibson" Les Paul jr.s with a P-90 and I am very impressed with the quality of construction and playability right out of the box. Sounds killer, too. I think it is the most guitar I have ever bought for $379, and the cheapest, too. I see inflation is already at play as the MSRP is now $429 and, likely, going up from there.

I hvae another Epi, the Dot model (ES335) I got 20+ years ago. Not a bad guitar, thought the fretwork was a bit spotty. I've put a bone nut on, and swapped out the stock pickups for a Duncan Seth Lover and Gibson 57+. It's no Gibson, but it does sound good.

I bought a couple of shitty Epis in the early 2000s. They'd have made better fires than music. One was a Sheraton that had so much neck dive that it was impossible to play comfortably. It was encased in so much goop that it might as well have been made from hard plastic. Same with a LP I had from them.
About 2 1/2 years ago, I bought a long scale "SG" bass or whatever they call it. It's a fine bass. A righty that I put a lefty nut on. I'm going to sell it because I can get a Gibson type thud out of my other basses, and I hate the controls being in my way.
