Walter Becker, half of the group Steely Dan, died of esophageal cancer in 2017. In 2019, his collection of over 600 guitars, 400 amps and assorted gear was auctioned off, garnering a respectable $3.3 million. Julian's Auctions, the house that ran the auction, has an online "flip book" of the Becker collection, and for gearheads, it's kind of like an "I died and went to heaven" journey to go through it.

Wow, that's quite a collection!. I was thinking where are the Fender amps? But then when I got up to page 230 and beyond I was not disappointed. Page 258: 1965 Fender Bandmaster-auction estimate $700-$900. I missed out on that one lol.
He had an insane amount of pedals. Imagine the cost to re-tube all of those amplifiers.

It's a shame the drip edge collection had to be broken up. I'll bet the owner put a lot of effort into putting it together. The Walter Becker collection on the other hand, was way too large for most any collector.
