    Sunday morning in Tennessee!

Greetings from Hendersonville, TN. We're here visiting my birth family this weekend. We are staying at my sister's house who I only met on Friday. My mother and her husband live next door. I only spent a couple hours with my mother a couple years ago, but we have a few days now to get to know each other better. My brother flew in from New York with his daughter, and another niece is also here. It's not exactly a family reunion, since we didn't know about each other until couple years ago. This morning we're taking her to church. She doesn't usually get to go in person so it's a big deal for both of us. Anyways, have a great week!

Well from Jeffersonville IN, yesterday was a big day with Thunder over Louisville (the start of Derby season). Started yesterday with visiting 11.5 acres we are considering buying. After the visit, the probability of that decreased as there could be drainage issues where we’d want to build the house. After that trek, visited Boundary Oak distillery. Then we took in Thunder from the comfort and lack of traffic from our house.

Today after church, I’m off to get some stuff to rebuild a toilet and now waiting for a haircut. Afterwards it will watch the F1 recording from this AM, pay some bills, and prepare for an interview scheduled for tomorrow.

It’s a contract gig and I’m hoping I can do it and my FT job. The pay that’s been tossed out is really good. I want to see if I could convert it to a W2 FT gig as it would allow:
1- is to move to the state we want to live in
    2- increase my pay 75-100%

needless to say, a touch of nerves about the unknown and possibilities.

    Re: Sunday morning in Tennessee!

mild overcast day. dang showers are constantly popping up, seems like every time I check my phone before going out, it's "rain/showers starting in 17 minutes". Great, so I can be a mile away from my house when it starts. 4 out of 5 times, it doesn't rain. But that one time I finally say "Eff it", it does/will.

Been working on getting guitar listed. I had forgotten just how much of a PITA it is. I strive to present guitars fully and honestly, well-photographed. It just doesn't happen in 15 minutes, unlike apparently 90% of most CL type listings. It takes me 3-4 hours per guitar, I started yesterday, stayed in last night to work on the listing. I'd like to finish that today and get it published. I need to find my scale and head off that question (I know I would ask it.)

Then Don goes and tells me that the Marshall not far from me has lowered their price. I theoretically could get cash today, it's only a pound of flesh, Mr Merchant of Venice.

Decisions. Decadence. Defiance. Debasement. The basement, oh my, the music room. Later, time marches on an empty stomach.

    Salutations from Northeastern Brazil.

Cloudy and a bit humid today. Lazy Sunday with the wife, watching TV and polishing my Tony Lamas. Gonna visit my old folks, spend some tome with them, play some blues improvs for practice and then grab a six pack of Buds on the way back. In the evening we’ll buy the tickets for the upcoming Guns n Roses show (they’ll be touring South America), it’ll be cool to see Slash again in September.

Been dealing with a severe backlash of COVID related anxiety, which really sucks. Talked to our friend Willie about this yesterday.

    Have a good Sunday, everyone!

Picking up two guitars from a tech today, Jazz box and the 83 Ibanez Artist. The Artist I’ve not been able to play, so it’s like getting a new guitar.

Givson Junkie, we’re about an hour away from each other right now. I’m at my girlfriend’s, trying to get it repaired and on the market. I live two hours from here, in West TN. I hope your visit goes well.

This coming weekend and the weekend following I will be part of the pit band playing for an annual fund-raiser put on by a local charity. I just got in the door from the first dress rehearsal (lasted six hours) and Monday evening we will do another dress rehearsal and complete run through of the 2 1/2 hour show. It’s been a long day so far.

Hope all have had a great day!

Visited the Gibson Garage yesterday. I expected more than just a retail store - they bill it as a "destination", but it's a store... a damned impressive one, but a store. There are really fine guitar of all types there and the staff were all really friendly and knowledgeable. They loved meeting "Gibsonjunkie"! Equally impressive were the American made Epiphones... a couple of those were really nice. I left with a handful of free guitar pick and no guitars, which showed how much restraint was in the room! (of course - they sure weren't discounting them any, either). Cool place, for sure.

The trip has been amazing so far. We are really enjoying my new-found family. My sister is a hoot - just a blast to hang out with, and her daughter is such a fun person. My mother is pretty quiet, but you can tell this is a big deal for her. She spent her whole life worried about me and finding out that I turned out OK gives her a lot of peace. Her husband is great - real jokester, but just fun to be around. I'm really going to be sad to leave tomorrow morning.

    Glad to hear that, brother.

The gun guys on this forum would love my step-dad. He was a rangemaster in the Air Force and taught shooting. I learned a lot!
