Can anyone tell me if the control plate on the Mustang guitar is the same part as on the Mustang Player bass?
I'd like to replace the stock plate on the bass with a 3 knob version and add individual volume controls like a proper P/J bass.

IIRC the bass’s and guitar’s control plates are different. It’s fairly easy to purchase spare plates for either one, though.
