Hi, I recently changed the bridge pickup on my 72 Pawn Shop Special to a Suhr SSH+ which is a fairly high output pickup. It sounds a little dark to my ears and I want to brighten it up! I was wondering if anyone knows what the volume pot value is on these guitars. I want to change it to a 500K pot to give it more clarity if it happens to be of a lesser value.If all else fails I am thinking of changing the pickup to a low wind/PAF style humbucker.

You can check it with a meter, or look on the pot itself as it'll be marked. You can lower the cap value, you could also lower the pup and then raise the pole pieces.
