    Mustang

Hey All. I've been wanting one of these for quite some time and finally decided to pull the trigger. I found a really good deal on a Player Mustang in Firemist Gold. I am really happy with the playability of this guitar. Being an older player, the 24" scale makes it really easy to play with my achy hands so I'm really liking it. Being a guitar tinkerer I have mostly left this guitar alone. I had a set of Hipshot tuners that were not being used and since they are much better than the stock tuners I swapped them out. The other thing I have done is since the neck is a light shade of Pau Ferro, I have attempted to darken it some. Lastly, the Mustang sounds great through any of the amps I have played it through.

Congratulations! That's a pretty guitar. I like short-scale guitars, so I should try one out if and when I come across one.

That looks really cool! I had a '66 Mustang years ago and felt like the big clunky vibrato setup might've affected the guitar negatively. I'd like to try one of these.

You should definitely check one out if you get the chance to.

My buyers remorse tells me I should have gotten the model with the phase switching.

Cool guitar!! Doesn’t the Mustang use Strat pickups without holes for the pole pieces?

My first two were also red - 1996 Coupe and a '99 GT vert. My 2016 GT was Competition Orange (my daughter called it Home Depot Orange). I heart Mustangs!

Since this has turned into a car thread, this is what I had owned back in the day. 1978, 302 engine.

It looks that way but I'm not totally sure. I do know that the magnets are not of staggered height.

Congratulations! I love my Mustang. The shorter scale makes it a pleasure to play.
