What brand of bass is Ricky Schroder holding in Silver Spoons?

There is a 1986 episode of Silver Spoons where Rick is 'playing' a bass.
It doesn't seem to have a Fender logo. Maybe some kind of 80's knock off?

What do you think this thing is?

Could be a Fender but the company wouldn’t cough up any cash for advertising so the logo is blocked out. Did you ever notice that Elvis mostly played Gibson guitars in his movies but the name is always blocked out?

This is about Elvis’ J200 Gibson: “Like many of the guitars used in Elvis' films the logo on the headstock was blacked out. It was likely done at the suggestion of the Colonel due to his policy toward "free" endorsements.”

I wonder how they blocked out the logo on that bass? The wood color where the logo should be, is completely uniform.
Like they sanded down the logo until it was gone, or carefully painted wood colored paint over it. A lot of work to remove a logo.
The Fender logos on the two other kids strats are still there. It is like they were ok with the secondary actors having logos, but they didn't want the star to have the logo.

The pic isn’t great, but the nut width appears closer to a J though it’s on a P. Aftermarket neck?

Also, the string tee screw goes through to the back side of the headstock and pokes out. I have never seen that before.

Yes, its actually a strap button & is common on Fender Precision basses

For real. Ann Margaret in her heyday and long after was striking. Her performance in Tommy was sexy to me at age 12. Yikes!
