Hello I got a few love marks on my tele and the wood underneath is exposed. Do I have to worry about this? I’ve asked before and got mixed responses. I keep in stored in my house. Do I have to worry about the same issues with acoustics being cracked or warping? Thanks!
It's a Telecaster, right? A slab of wood with electronics used to generate the signals that emanate from an amplifier. The wood really makes no difference, whether it's nitrocellulose, paint, poly or unfinished. In my opinion, the only thing you need to fear is fire. Or termites.

Telecasters are the AK47s of guitars. Take a close look at Keith Richards' teles. He even used one of them to fight a stage invader once and it actually stayed in tune lol
Some people actually pay extra for the Custom Shop to put holes in the paint.
