    It's Sunday,

For an experiment , let's see if we can discuss without it truing into everyone's non-guitar related personal blog.

Last night I was able to take time to play a bit. I chose to do a sound comparison with my Les Paul, SG, and Explorer. Each was great in its own way. I don't know how to describe it other than to say that the Les Paul's sound is luxurious, the SG's (P90s) warm but snappy, and the Explorer's snarly and snarky but full w/o distortion.

I also squeezed in some time with my Hofner violin bass--a morning treat. I've said it before, will say it again: it's not a Beatle-y toy. It is a serious bass. With its short scale, I can go places I can't with my regular and long scale basses.

Have set up a jam with a drummer next weekend. I'm hoping someone else will hop on board so that I can play bass instead of guitar.
If we'd known we were going to be the Beatles, we'd have tried harder.--George Harrison

In the process of finishing up song #5 for an album I'm working on. Should be done this spring. Way bigger project than anticipated. But it's something I have wanted to do all my life. Now is the time. It will likely be 8 songs total. I feel like I have finally learned how to write a good song with good lyrics and interesting sonic elements. Lots of hard work, but so rewarding along the way. And to think. 30 or 40 people might actually hear it! LOL!
