I’ve spent the last few weeks working on learning my bass parts for the tunes we’ll play as the “pit orchestra” for an annual charity event that has raised over three million dollars so far in its 50+ year run. We do a group rehearsal on Friday and Saturday followed by a show dress rehearsal on Sunday and Monday. The show will run three days of the last weekend of April and three days of the first weekend of May. It’s a lot of donated time but is so much fun and so rewarding to play.
