The Welcome to September Sunday Thread for 2024-09-01

Yes, it's September. Good Sunday to you! In just eight days I leave for a couple of weeks in Ireland. For now, it's just the usual: Church, lunch, baseball, reading and guitar playing. How's about with you?

Starting to prepare myself for going back to work. I had the last two weeks off and did precious little. Well, I did completely clean out my garage, power washed the floor and threw out two garbage bins worth of cr@p. It has been a few years since I did it. Working on new music...having a ball doing it!

Wow, Labor Day weekend...where did the summer go? I think all the time I put in redoing my lawn really sucked up the summer days for me, but the lawn is finally looking a lot better after removing over twenty ash trees from my property.

This week my wife and I will take the Vette for a quick run to Lincoln, Nebraska to watch our son run his Corvette in the SCCA Nationals. Should be a fun time and we get to spend a little time with our son.

Hope all have a great week/

Well the Mini roadster developed a bit of an issue. Rear window is delaminating from the convertible top. Havent gotten a quote to fix as the 1st place would only replace. Waiting on another place to respond. I got some stuff delivered today that I may DIY it.
Got to work on music for next weekend. My wife's BDay is next week so we are celebrating tomorrow as well as next weekend. Ribs for tomorrows dinner so that 4 hrs also spoken for. As I have to do some work tomorrow, something I am juggling is going to fall as there is not enough time. The mini will continued to be tarped. On my way to get the hair cut then work on music. Maybe it will go quick and I can also work on the car, but not counting on it.

peaceful low key weekend. I like my brother's girlfriend but it's nice to have the house to myself. Should play guitar while I can, I did last night and had a blast. Made it a whole month without going out once to eat or drink. Hunker down mode engaged. Selling mode engaged. Walking mode engaged, speaking of which will be doing shortly. I expect to be able to walk to the grocery store. Next target is gas station on far side of plaza about half mile further. It's been over a year since I've walked any of the trails in the park. Hope we have a good winter for walking. Rain all you want, I'll deal with a little mud and puddles. Better that than lumpy ice.

when I shipped out a body last week, I went to the UPS terminal I've used since being back in town over 30 years ago. last Monday was their last day of having that lobby open to accept drop offs, from now on go to a UPS store. Good to know that now than be out there with a package under my arms and a locked door.

Got some fall weather coming our way, trees are turning colors. It's September and Labor Day weekend, summah is ovah as we say around heeyah. I'm ready for it. Oh, and football

Rode my motorcycle to Vermont and back for inspection and registration renewal.
The a 25 mile bicycle ride Saturday followed up by a 26 mile ride along through the Farmington River through the tall corn and tobacco fields. Then a party with a great band, good friends and awesome food.
    Good times.

The real deal! Incredible groove. Great bounce to the horns and strings. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing.
