I ordered a DEMONFX Freedman BE-OD Deluxe double pedal, a Music City Bridge nut slot gauge, and a tool to mark the nut when filing slots. It works like the "half a pencil" trick, only it's an entire tool instead of just half a pencil.

Also bought some new solderless 1/4" male jacks from D'addario to replace one on my "Circuit Breaker" cable. Maybe something else I'm forgetting. The cable orignally only had one circuit breaker jack on it and I put a 2nd one on it. We'll I've decided I don't like it with circuit breaker jacks on both ends. So it's getting a standard 90* jack instead of the one that's on it with the button to make it quiet.

Not directly guitar related, but got a ticket to see Brit Floyd. Alas I?ll never see my fave band (yes I had a ticket on the Division Bell tour, but couldn?t get away do to work). Was looking to see David on his last tour, but tickets were steep plus adding in air travel, hotel and trans in either NY or LA was just more than I could justify at the time.

this is the closest I will get

As far as I can tell, no possible worries here, Chuck.

Btw the strap buttons on my 15 year-old Rick are strictly Schaller friendly, and I was quite glad to find out that so is the case!

You know, I've been negligent in keeping track of guitar-related stuff. Maybe that's because my recent purchases haven't been for my use, but for my granddaughter's. She asked me to teach her guitar, so I'm giving her one of mine. But I want her to have a complete "starter" kit, so in addition to the Washburn G-Mini 55 Koa I'm giving her, I've bought a gig bag, a guitar stand, a tuner, and am throwing in some picks and William Leavitt's "Modern Method for Guitar" book. I've also purchased a set of GHS Ultra-Light (010-046) Bright Bronze strings that I'm going to put on it before I give it to her.

Sergio, those are the problematic ones. I'd suggest that every time you use them you clean and inspect them. A little dirt will cause them to not engage too. The other failure mode I've had with them is they are screwed onto leather which is soft and they come loose. DO use blue locktite on the threads. If you don't like washers maybe the old posi-locks would work for you too.

Btw I forgot to mention that I don't use straplocks the way most people do. I never have.

I don't like to leave the bolts attached to the strap by the screw. I do this:

Been doing it like that for years, even back when I was a Les Paul guy and never had a slip. This way the screws don't go anywhere and I carry the straps without any metal parts that tend to swing and hit everything, including the guitar top.

Also, If I happen to lose a strap after a Gig, I don't lose the Schallers.
